WordPlay 2.5

WordPlay is a "must-have" for those interested in crosswords or other word puzzles. It can:

Find words that fit a specified pattern. You specify the pattern using letters and "wild-cards" and WordPlay does the rest. For example:
.A..ER.
will find all words that fit the pattern, i.e. are seven letters long with A as the second letter, E as the fifth letter and R as the sixth letter.
A*
will find all words starting with A.
*T
will find all words ending with T.
A*T
will find all words starting with A and ending with T.
A..T
will find all four letter words starting with A and ending with T.
Find anagrams.
Solve "Trackwords."
Solve word ladders.
The default wild-card characters are "*" to match none or many characters, and "." to match exactly one character, but you can easily change these.

WordPlay is supplied with two word lists; a short one containing nearly 37000 common English words, and a longer one containing nearly 237000 English words, abbreviations etc. If that isn't enough, you can add words to these lists, or even use your own word lists entirely.
